Talent acquisition and roster depth are only part of the equation for winning in MFN. I am fairly decent at roster management myself and while hkpman is a master at trading and acquiring draft picks, he just made the pkayoffs for the 1st time because gameplanning is the key to winning especially in the playoffs. Hkpman said it himself in the game he lost in the playoffs, he drove to the 9 and went for it on 4 and 2 instead of kicking the field goal to tie. Obviously he hadnt set rules for end game scenarios. No disrespect to hkpman because like I said, he is a master trader and great at roster management but needs work on his gameplaning.
I speak from experience because I have been beaten by master gameplaners when I felt I had the clear advantage with my roster.
I also agree that with the high salaries that come with the high draft picks, he will have to continue to juggle his roster in order to stay under the cap. I have traded with hkpman in the past and will continue to do so if it helps my team. My trades have resulted in my team going from 1-15 in 2005 to 13-3 in 2007 with 2 of my loses being against undefeated Dallas plus losing a defensive battle 16-7 in the playoffs against the eventual champions.
I hate to see anyone leave the league because of trades but they are a key part of the game
