So, we now have a team that finished the last season at 15-1, the Bucs, who have the 1.1, 1.2, 1,12, 2.1, 2.2, and 2.5 picks in the upcoming draft. Its been a long time since Ive seen someone pull that one off, and lots of luck competing with that roster over the next several seasons. To add insult to injury, the Bucs have 3 1st rounders and 6 2nds in the 2009 draft!! Sorry, but that is ridiculous and is on a level that has not been seen before. Best of luck to you all, hkp has set a new standard for trading and acquiring high 1st & 2nd round picks in this league. I hope all the owners with .500 teams or less learn a lesson from this situation and realize that their high 1st round picks are much more valuable than a 1.30 or lower with a couple of 8 yr vets thrown in the deal. Also, realize that position rank & importance has changed quite a bit with 4.4, and will see what happens in 4.5. Used to be that one of the most important positions, if not the most, was the CB1. 4.4 changed that. Also WR has been clipped quite a bit in 4.4, and now TE1 is more important than WR1. LBs are much more important now, ones that can also cover the pass in the flats to RBs. So, I will be dropping the Ravens, its come down to having to choose between teams that have a good chance and future potential at the LC and those that dont, 12 teams are 3 too many.

I assume this is one of the reasons you left Atlanta. I saw this coming 3-4 seasons ago. I almost left when you did, GrandadB.
I hope Mcarovil is correct and Tampa Bay struggles to keep the players he's procured in a few seasons. I'm skeptical, because of how often he trades. Tampa Bay is a revolving door of talent.

Guys seriously.....? you both have won the division for 7 plus year and even with good team i did not made the play but i never gave up ...took the challenge to make more move to position my team to able to compete and win the division. Bucs won their 1st division and 1st time made the playoff after 8 years..... and all the worry?

I have read all the view and to be fair i am putting self rule on the Bucs ...

I will only own 3 -1st round pick & 4 - 2nd round picks for every draft.....at max (I know its lot but better than what i have right now)

Only request i have is lets get GrandadB back in the league.... i have 4 - 2nd round to offload ... but to be fair and if commish can allow for day i will return the picks to following team

I would like to suggest following - I would return following picks to suggested teams if you all approve & GrandadB comes back to our league again.

2008 - Lion's 5th round pick - Denver Broncos
2008 - Titan's 6th round pick - NewEngland Patriots

2009 Seattle's 2nd round pick - Denver Broncos
2009 Baltimore's 2nd round pick - Cincinnati Bengals
2009 Titan's 6th round pick - Jax Jaguars
2009 Bucs 6th round pick - Pitts Steelers
2009 Broncs 7th round pick - Arizona Cardinals
2009 Redskins 6th round pick - Houston Texans

2010 Seattle's 2nd round pick - Seattle Seahawks
2010 Dallas Cowboys' 2nd round pick - Baltimore Ravens
2010 Bengals - 7th round pick - I will keep it open to give it to any team that i forgot and people suggest.

William Bourdeaux, OG - Denver Broncos
Jeremy McCalister, OC - New Orleans Saints

Only request is we get GrandadB back and Commish allow the trade without restrictions so i can give all this picks and player to respective team.

Hope this will make my MOST beloved league competitive.......

I am giving up 2 picks in 2008, 6 picks in 2009 & 3 picks in 2010 plus 2 players... hope that will be seen as my sincere attempt .... this also include 4 2nd round picks

I don't want any of the great owner of this league to leave the league.........I did all my trading fair and square where most times both team won...but GM in me went too bold and made many moves to make sure i win Division in this tough but my most beloved league.

Let's see if we can get GrandadB back to make this one of the best league in the MFN history.....

While i will keep my self rule no more than 3 -1st round picks and 4 -2nd round picks... i will still be active and expect more offers... again this all in GrandadB;s hand.....as my only request is to have him back and take the reins of Ravens to compete with Browns

Yes he has traded away more championships than I have ever seen one owner do. The more he trades the happier I am. The one thing that is being missed is due to his enormous trading, he pretty much dictates which divisions and conferences will be good and which will be bad.based on which teams he trades with.

I'm not sure I get what all the fuss is about. It's clearly aimed at hkpman and I don't get why. His style of management involves doing a lot of trading. What's wrong with that? Some owners take the opposite extreme and don't trade at all. Why is he being singled out? It's not like he is hoarding good players or ripping people off. If you think he is, please give me an example. He usually trades a lot of the guys he drafts anyway because he has to stay under the cap just like everyone else. He went 7 straight seasons without a playoff appearance but he stayed with it. This season he went 15-1 and so he should completely change his strategy? Why? I'd like some answers because I don't understand why this is suddenly such a big deal.

Thanks, Pertempto

No, not really. Grandad has posted this in all the leagues he is in. He just is trying to keep new owners from trading away their talent, before they know what is going on. I personally have use hkpman as an example in many leagues of an exception to the trades rules. He has his style and he is alone with it. It works for him, but I wouldn't recommend it, unless it is a seasoned owner knows what they are doing.

I don't have an issue with any owners trades, unless they are flat out ripping people off. You don't do this, what you do works for you, but wouldn't for everyone. I have actually spoken out several times about being able to trade 3 times with one team per season is too much, just as acquiring more than 3 first rounders. It isn't realistic and shouldn't be allowed in any league, but I am just a spectator. There are a couple of leagues that only allow 2 trades per team per season, I personally prefer that, but that is policed by all and the league administrator via a spreadsheet. I think that your trades are fair without a doubt after trading with you a couple of times. Please don't think anything I say is directed towards you in a negative manner, it may post that way, but I am amazed at what you do.

I guess I didn't think of it through the "realistic" viewpoint. You have a point there.

Guys... thanks for the all the view...... trust me when i say this ... this is my most fav league and i respect and like each and every owner of this league and would never trade it for anything other league even if guaranteed the Super Bowl.

I have not taken any offense to any view.... just listening to all to make sure i keep this league fun.... involved and competitive for all old or new owners.

I cant change my ways of operating the team.... i play this game not to be great coach... but to be best GM..... so i do make lots of move... i have philosophy that is modeled behind Dungy's Bucs, Patriots & Cowboys Jones.

I have never traded my captains A.Obryan, DL who is my 1st pick too.... plus never traded R. Louise, WR but like Pats i always add players who can help put competitive team on the field and never shy away just like Cowboys on pulling trigger on big deals. Anyway I don't want to bore all of you with it.

I have requested GrandadB to be back and Gustoon - our Commish to allow me to return some of the picks to teams who can use them.

I will not able to change my ways as i love making moves but will put self limit of 3 -1st round pick and 4-2nd round picks....and will be as fair as possible.

I just love this league and its the only league where i give more than 100%....... so let's keep this the best league in the MFN (we are just need GrandadB back)

Good Luck to all for 2008 season.... any just a reminder ... no matter how many offseason Bucs won.... we are yet to win the SuperBowl in this league.... Our league's champion is Seth..... Dallas Cowboys and our goal is to best him ... )

Got no issues. We all have our quirks. There is no collusion going on so to each their own. No need to put caps on yourself HPK. It’s a game. Nothing more. Enjoy it however you like.
