The Lions upset the Steelers, who were favored -11, by +6! Smith did something Detroit hasn't seen in weeks! As QB he did NOT throw a single INT!

He played below average as the QB but he showed that he is good game manager and gave his Defense/ Sp team a chance to win the game....

Detroit would like to thank LDE Henry Anderson and SLB Jere Sheldon for their time in Detroit. We wish both of you well in retirement.

In Henry Anderson's 1 and only season in Detroit, he had 18 tackles and 3 hurries

In Jere Sheldon's 1 and only season with Detroit, he had 67 tackles, 39/75 catches allowed for a 52% catch rate, and had 3 INTs

We once again thank them for their time on the team

The first 3 rounds of the NFL draft for the Lions are over, so let's talk about all 4 draft picks

Julius Anderson - Taken in the first round OVER Ted Burnhill, Julius Anderson is expected to be an anchor in the backfield, with his excellent tackling ability

John Polley - Taken in the 2nd round, John Polley was taken to be a hybrid WR / RB with a fantastic upside

James Ramos - Taken in the 3rd round, Ramos was taken to be mentored under Tomas Edward as he is set to leave the Lions after this contract year

James Mulloy - Taken in the 3rd round, He was drafted for blocking skills and goal-line potential, he is the only FB on the team and will be the starter week one
