MFN is way too sparce on players for this. I know I for one am far too poor to pay to play. It'd make more sense if admins were allowed to pay a fee and their leagues be free to play and the other leagues by pay to play. Unfortunately this switch will likely have me abandon mfn after many loyal years. It's just not worth it to me to only be in a single league. Once my credits are done I'm too poor to play. I guess this will serve as goodbye and thanks for the good years of memories.

This might make me quit MFN, but I have not decided yet. I'm not good enough to pay for this I think.

There should be a tier between Free and Starter that allows for those who play in one league to subscribe and be able to remove ads.

I will consider this.

[ul]What are these "customizations"?

All customizations are included here. Instead of nickel-and-diming each time you make a change to your team, name a player, create and edit your managed league, etc, we now have a single subscription that allows you to do all those things.

I don't see one bit of incentive to subscribe to any of the tiers if I don't see what advantages I get over someone else who is on the free subscription.

I have committed that you will never get an in-game advantage by paying more than someone else, that ruins the game experience and I've seen too many similar games go down the tubes because they did that. What you're paying for is the additional experience - playing in more leagues or customizing your teams/players/etc.

I'll address this generally - there is a new interface that is about 75% complete. The current interface was written over 10 years ago, before there even was such a thing as a mobile browser. I'm working on the new interface in my spare time, but I'm doing other paying work to keep the lights on here, which is keeping me from giving any attention to MFN. This new interface is mobile-friendly and a significantly better experience on all devices. That's the huge thing coming down the pike, and I'm super excited to get it done. After that I'm planning to get back into the game engine as well as work on developing an actual mobile app. I'm hoping the revenue from subscriptions will change MFN from barely supporting itself to keep the lights on, to having some capital that can be used to get back into active development.

I appreciate the responses. When I referred to what advantages someone gets for a subscription over a free account, I’m absolutely in support that it shouldn’t be a game related advantage, even I agree that something like that would be unfair to everyone else. What I’m referring to is that even the customisation you talk about doesn’t spark any interest or incentive. Are the customisation available all season long, or only in the off-season? Why pay when I can easily just wait until the off-season and get the league owner to make the changes for me on my behalf?

Again, there is no real incentive to subscribe.

I don’t own my own league, nor do I want to. I play in one league and that’s it. I don’t change player names, nor do I really customise my team every single season, I leave it alone and if I do want a change, I know that the league owner has the ability to unlock the customisation tools I need to make the changes I want, or I can ask him to do it for me (i.e. overnight while I’m asleep). If this subscription now means that even the league owner (who should have full access to their league regardless) now can’t make those changes, then I’d seriously have to reconsider my involvement in the game.

I've added a subscription tier between each previous one that allows you to turn off ads ... I agree with you all that that makes sense.

I seem to have lost some league administration powers. I can no longer access edit my league, which means I can't change the injury slider, adjust free agency periods, name my conferences/divisions, etc.

Is this purposeful or a glitch?

OK, I now see the edit division button on the league home page, but where is the injury slider???

BTW, I clicked edit divisions and it said I don't have permission??? That is wrong.

Same here! I admin 2 league's and lost the edit league tab. Some of us adjust the injury slider for preseason & regular season and we have lost that ability along with all the other league edit functions

Send me a PM if you have a custom league that you've created/unlocked in the last 30 days. I'll set you with a customization tier so you can edit it for the next month, since you have already paid for it.

So league admins will no longer have this feature going forward?

In order to create and maintain a league, it will require the customization tier. The created league will remain if the league owner drops to a lower tier, but all customizations, including league customizations, will now fall under the customization subscription.
