2001 Raiders Name Theme

From time to time I will use more Raider names, it depends on the position/talent level of my draftees. For non Raider names I usually have a theme and this draft will be a Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul theme.

Those are 2 of my favorite shows and I have wanted to name one of my lineman Huell Babineaux for awhile but it never worked in the name machine...until now.

Pick 1.11 Huell Babineaux RG - Huell is Saul Goodman's bodyguard and one very large human. He doesn't say much in the show, but he has plenty to say at his other job, being a stand up comic. This man mountain will open some holes in the running game while helping keep Lamonica's uniform clean.

Pick 2.13 Mike Ehrmantraut DT - My favorite BB/BCS character is now a Raider. Ehrmantraut is a no nonsense guy, takes no **** and that attitude will fit right in with the big nasties already on our DL. Our cafeteria workers better stock up on pimento cheese as that's Ehrmantraut's favorite sandwich.

Pick 3.12 Tuco Salamanca SS - Former meth dealer turned pro football player Tuco Salamanca brings his nasty attitude to the Raiders defense. Hopefully he doesn't beat anyone else to death like he did No-Doze as that could draw a suspension.

Pick 4.11 Gustavo Fring - Los Pollos Hermanos will be served alongside the Pimento sandwiches in the Raiders cafeteria as the meth dealing chicken man starts his pro football career. Pretty amazing he's even here, seeing how he lost half his face, not to mention his life, in the nursing home bombing in Albequerque. Ah, the magic of simulated football huh.
