The Baltimore Ravens secured a hard-fought 22-17 win against the New York Jets on December 2, maintaining their undefeated record in the 2046 season and clinching their division title under head coach Johnny Conaway. The victory marked the Ravens’ 14th consecutive win and improved their record to 14-0.

The Jets started strong but Baltimore struck first on the scoreboard with a safety early in the first quarter. William Helsley sacked Jets quarterback Mitchell Christenson in the end zone, giving the Ravens a 2-0 lead. Shortly thereafter, Ravens quarterback Richard Dunn connected with David Merritt for a 10-yard touchdown, pushing the lead to 9-0 after the extra point by William Silver.

The Ravens extended their lead in the second quarter with a 34-yard field goal from Silver, bringing the score to 12-0 at halftime. The Baltimore defense also intercepted a Jets pass late in the first quarter, disrupting New York’s momentum.

New York struck back early in the third quarter when linebacker Edward Fairchild intercepted a Dunn pass and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown, narrowing the gap to 12-7. The Jets added an extra point but were unable to convert further opportunities against the Ravens’ defense.

Baltimore’s offense answered with a touchdown pass from Dunn to Roberto Garcia, assisted by a declined Jets pass interference penalty, to extend the lead to 18-7. Despite some defensive pressure from New York, the Ravens added a late field goal to cement their lead and ultimately the win.

Offensively, the Ravens leaned heavily on the run, tallying 134 yards on 42 carries, with Johnathan Yang gaining 85 yards on the ground and 19 receiving yards. Dunn finished with 207 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and one interception. On the receiving end, tight end Edmond Olmstead was a key target with 80 yards, while Merritt contributed 57 receiving yards and a rushing touchdown.

The Jets faced challenges moving the ball on the ground, finishing with negative rushing yards despite Charles Keppler’s one touchdown. Quarterback Christenson completed 16 of 24 passes for 124 yards with one touchdown but threw two interceptions. New York’s defense recorded two sacks and two forced fumbles but could not contain the Ravens’ balanced attack.

This result preserves Baltimore’s perfect season and solidifies their position atop the division. The Jets fall to 7-7 and remain in second place, seeking to solidify their playoff chances.

Ravens owner IoanBlood commented after the game, “The safety early in the game set the tone for our defense and energized the team. It was a gritty performance from the whole squad, especially on the ground. Coach Conaway’s game plan put us in a strong position throughout. We’re focused on keeping this momentum as we head toward the playoffs.”
