Raiders Name/Uniform # inconsistencies

Most, if not all of my allocation picks will be named after current or former Raiders. There will be some names the MFN name generator doesn't spell correctly or not have them at all (like Khalil). With other players it may be impossible to give them their real life Raiders uniform #. I plan on listing the inconsistencies here so people know why I might have a LB/DE named Kelly Mack.

Day 1

Ted Hendricks - I wanted Ted to be Khalil Mack instead but Khalil isn't in the machine. Hendricks wore #83 irl but it's impossible to have a defensive player in the 80's unless he can be switched to WR or TE. He can not so best I can do is give him inverse 83, #38.

Day 2

Daryl Lamonica - couldn't use Daryle and there are plenty of future drafts to find Stabler, Plunkett, Gannon and/or Carr. Lamonica was before my time but I read about him as a kid when I soaked up some Raiders history.

Jack Tatum - most people, including me at first, thought Tatum only wore 32. He can't have 32, that belongs to Marcus Allen, but upon a google search, I see he wore 28 and 31. In fact he was wearing 31 during the Immaculate Incompletion which the refs ruled a TD because they wanted to leave the stadium alive.

Either way Tatum is one of the reasons I started liking the Raiders as a kid. I was too young to know he went to Ohio State, I just knew I loved watching him knock WR tfo. Tfo = the "f" out.

Lamonica was originally a Buffalo Bill. My dad always used to tell me that the reason why he was traded was cause he supposedly slept with one of the coaches' wives.

While I'm on the subject of Raiders BS playoff losses, Tom Brady fumbled in the snow. That's all the tuck rule ever was, a "get out of fumbling free" card which is why that isn't a rule anymore. It's a judgement call, one they had to slow down to milliseconds just to have an excuse to try and use it. They did use it and America bought it for the most part because if you don't root for the Raiders you either hate them or dgaf.

I really don't want to further rehash 16 year old BS, it is what it is and can't be corrected. Truth is the Raiders still had chances after that but Gruden mismanaged the clock and a 3rd and 1 play where a 1st down would have iced a win. *** was he doing running Charlie Garner outside? You needed 1 yard, don't get fancy unless Gannon was gonna play action.

Interesting, I did not know that, thanks.

Yeah supposedly he was quite the wild child when he was with the Bills cause there's always been rumors of him sleeping around with different people's wives. Apparently he was supposed to be the starter for the Bills and then he was caught with a coach's wife and the trade was made shortly after lol

Al Davis was never shy about acquiring party boys or sketchy characters.

Another BS loss was 1991 playoffs in Buffalo. 51-3. They didn't deserve that 3. Coldest game I've ever been to and I've been to plenty of Browns winter games.

I vaguely remember that game, when they're that ugly I try to forget them. Like the Pirate Bowl when Gannon threw 13 interceptions and Callahan used the same audibles as Chucky did the year prior. Rest assured nobody on my team will be named Barrett Robbins, mental disease or not.

The most ugly playoff game was that debacle in Houston last January. I knew they were toast the minute Derek Carr broke his leg but that first half was some of the worst football I've ever seen, Thank goodness I had to go to work at 6 and could only listen on radio.
