So playoff is about to kickoff and thought let’s look at the mix we have in the playoff…. So usual suspect made the playoffs with few new entrants … so let’s look at the field.
AFC
Raiders – They have made this a habit every year to win AFC West and nothing different this year too…. They are odd on fav to win AFC
Chiefs – They have dedicated Wild Card spot for many year and even with new owner nothing changed they are in playoff using their beloved Wild Card entry.
Jets – I always thought they get in as some setup as the team is owned by commish… but Jokes aside… after many years of Wild Card entry they are now coming in as AFC North Division champ and #2 seed. Will they topple the Raiders to reach Super Bowl?
Dolphins – They owned the AFC North for longtime but with new code were on the verge of not making the playoff but as they say it’s not over till it’s over… they sneaked into secure final spot…now that they are in the playoff will they make noise and be the surprise team pushing others to wall ?
Browns – They have dominated not only AFC Central or AFC but overall league so this is down year for them but none the less they say when playoff start all who made it to the dance are all 0-0 so don’t count them out as they can sneak onto you and make to the final dance.
Titans – Here come the Cinderella team of the playoff…..with no history of being in playoff…. This team started this year with a good momentum ( could it be as they made their first trade with bucs ? ) and had their up’s and down….. for a while they were running with AFC South ….some time it looked like they are done but at the end they beat GrandadB to secure their Division and entry into their 1st every playoff…..
AFC Honorable mentions –
Ravens – they made it interesting….and were alive till end so look for them to make noise next year.
Colts it was surprisingly down year for them but were still alive till end in AFC South …so it will be interesting team to watch over the offseason.
Chargers this is team on rise and were in contention for the spot till end so will be team to watch next year.
Bills – This team improved a lot.
NFC
Cowboys – They completely dominated the league and are hot favorite to make it to the final dance and also bring trophy home.
Redskins – Too many bold moves finally paid off and Redskins are into playoff as Wildcard. They should are probably 2nd best team but stuck in same division as Cowboys who are undefeated.
49ers – As always steady as rock … no noise or flash but simply churning out the wins to make the playoff every year.
Lions – This is very interesting team….. they have team that if clicked on the right side on any given day will be best team in the league… so they can threat Cowboys from making it to the dance if they get right sim.
Panthers – Every year in same fashion as Chiefs in AFC …one WildCard is always reserved for Panthers in NFC … they had some challenge like every year but when all said and done they are last entry in the playoff but don’t let that fool you as when it comes to playoff this team take on their owners identity and go crazy on the run to demolish their opponents …
Bucs – All those bold trades finally pay off allowing Bucs to shed label of Best team not to make the playoff by making to their first ever playoff but with very weird team where there is not a single player who is dominating or making to all league team but they its only team in the league scoring 400 plus points while giving only 100 points but they are also most beatable team as shown by Packers to ruin Bucs bid for perfect season.
NFC Honorable mentions
Falcons – they turned out to be new Bucs … who always had winning records but was never lucky to make it to play off and was always best team which did not made the playoff… hope they don’t make this practice ….my gut says they will be in playoff next season pushing Bucs to their permanent destination – Best team to not make playoff.
Giants – they were alive till last 2 weeks but then they ran into Cowboys and rest is history but they will as always be in run for the playoff spot every year.
Rams, Seahawks , Bears – All were in playoff contention and rising with new ownership so it will be interesting offseason for each of them.
This is my first post of this sort of if I have made any error …it was mistake and not on purpose so please excuse but same time feel free to give you opinion… matter of fact I want to hear from you…….what you think.
