At the start of the game, I wasnt sure if I had scouted & gameplanned, and I'm still not sure, lol. I just finished the DFL LC, have the Maddux LC comin up with a Saints team I did not think would get there, and several games that go off between 4pm and 10pm. My plate looks like a 300 pounder at an all you can eat buffet, way overloaded. Following the first drive by the Lion offense, I was "oh oh, not lookin good", then we go 3 & out and then the second drive by the Lions did the same, goin through the Falcon defense like it wasnt there, and was on the 10 yd line, goin in to make it 14-0 when Sacco picked off the pass to prevent the second score. Funny how things turned after that. With Jackson & Dildy injured, I figured the offense was going to have a tough time, and it did but Pablo got it goin and Walker caught a few long ones. Was also surprised at the pass rush with Torres out (league leader in sacks with an amazing 32). Congrats on another great season Pert/Lions, am sure you will be in the hunt again next season. That was strange how the Lions easily scored on the first drive to take a 7-0 lead, and then no score from then on, the Falcon defense really stepped up. After the first two drives, if you had told me that the Lions would only get 7, I would have bet the farm and everything else against it.

Well Mac, here we go again, same teams for the 6th time out of 7 super bowls, that is really amazing. Even more so that neither team made it to the LC last season. The Falcons are flyin in wounded & torn up, maybe they are more dangerous that way, lol. I was using my backup QB at RB2, he didnt do real well. May need to hit the FA pool and see if I can find some help. best of luck in the LC.

GG Ritzi/Vikes, congrats on turning around the Vikes this season with 5 more wins and making the playoffs. SS Pollock was a real good 1st round pick for the Vikes, and made POTW for the playoff game. We did real well in the first half, then the teams played dead even in the 2nd with both defenses only giving up a FG and both scoring safeties. cheers

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, Pollock was a great find but i think the team was good before too. Probably i hold it back a bit with poor gameplaning.

However, gratz to the league champinship and good luck for the SB!

GG Falcons! Our defense did a lot better than usual, but the offense stunk. 55 points in the division game to only 7 in the conference championship?! It's hard to score points when your QB only completes 1/3 of his pass attempts. Good Luck in the SB!

GG Mac, Raiders now 1-4 vs Cleveland in the CC. Had to watch this in 2 parts, internet went out about 2 am because of the ice storm we had, and it was only 10-0. Kinda wish it was still out after seeing the rest.

Good luck against Grandad, again.

Thanks man. We’ve had some epic battles. I find MFN funny in that every season you can kinda tell how your team is gonna do. You can have the same exact players and a good GP and its all about the roll of the die. This year has been unexpected very good for us. We lost some cornerstone talent this year but the SIM is rolling us into the LC. Don’t forget to GP Grandad! It would take away from whomever wins!! Go Browns!!!

All done Mac, and will double check it before gametime too, after what happ'd in the first LC game we had, lol. My best bet on that is that I hit something by accident, like load recommended gameplan or something, was using laptop with very sensitive touchpad. The Browns/Falcons rivalry in this league is unique for me, after playing MFN 2 yrs and change, have not had as many LCs btw same two teams as this one. Should be another great game, but would prefer a 22 pt or more lead goin into the 4th, lol. 21 isnt quite enough, especially if the trailing team gets a TD within the first couple of minutes. Im thinking it will be up to the Falcon defense, which was outstanding in the CC vs the Lions, my offense is missing its WR1 and RB1, who together accounted for a high % of the offense total. QB Brunner has been sub 80 QBR for the two playoff games, but a lot of that is from WR Jackson being out. And like you said, it will still come down to the sim, but... the odds that the "sim" would keep putting the Browns and Falcons into the LC 6 out of 7 times are pretty far out there. Both our teams have the "elements", roster makeup, gameplan method & rules/misc settings that produce wins and division champions and that's what gets the job done. But, the sim becomes more important with everything else being equal. And sometimes you get a break/advantage on the play matchup, usually involving a go route, and a sub being in that gets burned. cheers!

Sorry for being a nitpicker but I've seen this twice now and it bothers me a little. It's only 5 out of 7. I've been in the LC twice here, winning one and losing one.

Yep. We’ve seen each other in the playoffs quite often. Add the regular season and it’s like we are in the same division.
