I am never worried... will learn the rules and maximize to what's allowed.

I currently have 4 - 1st round pick in 2006 so if you need me to comply I am happy too... as long as Raiders are ok to swap from 2005 to 2006. If you implementing this starting 2007 or allowing me exception for 2006 than we are ok.

This is fine, rule comes into place the following season. I wanted to honour all the deals that had been done. From 2007 season onwards, no one has more than 3 first rounders, so its all good.

Thanks for the clarity ....... so while I am not the big fan of this rule will support it 100% as it will make our league stronger

On the lighter side.... I am already maxed out for 2008 :) but on the brighter side have room in 2007... :)

Thank you for your understanding, especially as this affects you more than most.

Gentle reminder.......

Everyone who is in this league owns it, it's OUR league and to keep it fun and honest want people to be respectful.
We've seen other leagues where name calling etc has gotton out of hand, and then people leave. Whilst I do want to encourage healthy rivalry can we please keep it clean.

Trades
Keep it fair. At the moment I have the trade setting set to the league standard, but can remove this so anything can be traded , no value. I can reverse a trade trade though.
If anyone has any concerns about a trade please let me know.
Trading with new players to the game, we all made mistakes when we first started , but we don't want to See noobies having the **** taken out of them, specifically trading older players for high draft picks, yes the broken trade meter says it's fair but unless you're making a SB push this type of trade will be scrutinised.

After a lot of thought I'm bringing in a new ruling....

- No team can carry more than 3 x 1st round picks.
(However as I know a few like to trade am leaving the other rounds limitless.)

My reasoning for this rule is that many people look forward to drafting and if they've had a rough season a high(ish) 1st round pick can go someway to help improve your team, there is noting to stop you trading your rookie #1 pick, so long as you don't go over the 3 x 1st round picks in the same year.
Other reasons are it also helps keep parity within the league and encourages teams to value their picks more and be more cautious with trading. Too many times I've seen owners use up all their valuable draft picks in rebuilds only to then abandon their team and leave it in a mess, this makes teams look unattractive to would be new owners.
This will come into affect on the 2007 draft.

Tanking
I really hope that no one goes 0 - 16 and I think that if anyone does then as a league we'll have to look as to why.
I was in the 7 5 league which is really well run with all the owners contributing and one of the features there is to be active, both in your own team and within the community. If anyone were to tank in there, they would be booted subject to a league discussion.

I'll keep this short and sweet.

Trading

I'm willing to turn OFF the trade meter as we all know its broken, however trades will be policed by the league, that's you!

If ANYONE is unhappy with a trade (for whatever reason) Please either flag it up in the trade notification or PM me...or both!
A trade will get overturned by either a blatantly bad / lopsided trade, good debate or multiple owners (3+) making the same point.

This is open for debate.

Im not a hughe fan of the trade meter, but i wouldnt turn it completly off. Is there a possibility to show the meter without any consecquences? Even if its not good, i remeber it was at least a bit of help when i was new to the game.

For the record: I konw its weak but not completly useless...

I would turn it off. A couple season ago I had a completely overrated O-lineman that I couldn't trade because his trade value was too high. I would have been fine trading him for a late round pick but it wouldn't let me. I think a well defined review policy should be implemented to prevent any controversy.
