Wow...that was one memorable Super Bowl....but now we are turning page on 2003..... so let's shift focus on 2004.

So tell me your Top 5 for the draft.....

That's the top 5 non kickers according to my weights but I don't go strictly by that. I'm picking 31st so I'm not even going to break down the top 5. I have always wanted to go into a draft fully prepared but real life doesn't leave me the time to analyze every player. At best I will put 31 names in my queue the night before the draft then wake up around 3:00 pm on draft day and see what's left.

Finally not picking last. Not gonna lie. I rather pick last.

I will go with

T. Alter, WR as undisputed #1 pick
Howell, LB
Wallace, LB
Clemons, WR
Guerroro, TE is risky but monster but I have feeling he may bust a little though
J.Smith, QB (its bit risky but QB are premium) but I can go with LT if I want sure value

The whole draft , (just like in real life) is a risk. I think my rookie CB proves this, 100% volatility and he's boomed, I look at it as 50-50 whether or not it is, but thats how I look at it

Here's a little something that will put a little more trepidation into the mix when it comes to risking a high vol pick in the first round.

My 1.29 pick in the Agent 86 league was DT William Evans, with an AI rating of 81. He had 100 vol, and busted 37 points!!! in TC. His AI rating is now 44 and trade value is in the toilet, lol. But Im still startin him, dammit! Thats gotta be a record bust in MFN, I havnt seen one in the 20's! lol So, having been severely burned, to a crisp, I advise a lot of caution when comparing picks in the first & second rounds with their volatility ratings. I have draft PTSD.

I think i know a better one. In my other leage (Fake Pigskin) the #1 overall pick bustet -31 in his first camp. Yours busted a bit more, but he has been a #1 overall and yours #29. I have to say that the pick has been a real bonehead move, especially with a player comparable to Ater also available in the draft (he went #2, lost 5 overall and still is a 92 WR).

Yep, I will prob not use a first round pick on a player with more than 60 vol in the future, unless I really want to roll the dice. My first pick in the MLF allocation draft busted -17, he had a vol of 80. And I had several in the -5 to 10 range, was a tough draft and I did not pay enough attention to vol ratings.

Espcially if you have a sure stud WR to pick too, and your team has no WR over 75 and you did go 0-16 in the season before. Then its a sure bet you have more holes to fill than just CB :-).
