Bucs went with best player on board with some need based pick approach in 1st round.
1-9 Robert Howland, Cb PennState - He was touted as sure shot Top 5 pick but last minute rumors around his willingness to hustle coupled with acceleration dropped him to 9th pick where he was perfect fit to Bucs Tampa-2 defense…..This was not a need pick for Bucs so he will have year to learn from stellar secondary …contribute and ready to lead in 1-2 years
1-14 Jay Humphries Wr Colorado - He is physical..speedy WR will be counted to give Bucs a player who can stretch a field…his hand and disciple is questionable for him being Top15 pick but rumor has it that Bucs coach desperately wanted WR and they roll the dice.
1-20 Bucs trade happy owner-GM decided to over pay on trade to draft LT- this is sure head scratcher as unless it’s HOF OL this will be questioned.
Leo Latimer, LG USC he is fineness and intelligent Tackle who will be moved to G in NFL…with H.Burtchfiekd, L.Stephens and K.Thopmson on board he will be purely need based ego pick for Bucs GM specially seeing Burtchfield bloom in Atlanta
What you all think ?
Surprised Howland dropped to 9, nice pickup.
Humphries was probably the best WR left when you picked, though it's a deep draft class.
Lattimore was my #1 Guard, #4 Tackle.
