A 3 and two 5s for a talented, young first-round pick doesn't seem fair to me.

I don't want to get into semantics and I hesitate to say this trade is not fair, but it does clearly favor Tampa Bay. That being said, I am not in favor of overturning this trade.

Imo overturning a trade should be reserved for extreme cases or clear cases of collusion. It should not be used when someone gets a below market value deal. Presumably they negotiated and both parties agreed to the terms and that should be the end of it.

If we're gonna overturn this trade, then we might as well have a trade review committee and impose a waiting period until it gets the OK from said committee.

I proposed a 2nd round and 3rd round pick as top offer for Stovall back in pre season, the offer was rejected because considered as not high enough.

I think Rams owner while he wanted to trade him, overestimated the value of Stovall and then had to accept a lower offer because it's this offer or nothing.

It's something that happens for real, in every sports, in every other situations than sports, I see no controversy here.

Except he didn't have to take the best offer. Nobody is making him get rid of a talented player. He could have kept the player and easily re-signed him, two years from now. Or he could have made a post asking for the best offer. Or tried again in the offseason.

I don't know that it warrants overturning the trade. I just don't like to see someone get taken advantage of.

This almost looks like a trade score trade and those are the worst. I guess not everyone knows the trade scores are out of whack, or that speed rules in this game.

Several mistakes were made which have already been pointed out and should be counted as a lesson learned hopefully.

* Ignore trade score, except in draft pick only trades

*Speed kills in MFN, don't trade away a talented speedy player for peanuts

*If you MUST move a player, be aggressive. Post on the forums, put him on the trade block, send out offers yourself with what you feel is a fair price.

Just take a page from Tampa owner hkpman. He trades and trades a lot and usually doesn't get fleeced. He's always sending out offers and posting about trades. It doesn't surprise me at all that he's on the other end of this trade.

I read and hear all comments……..I will not analyze or reason except .tampa accepted the offer in last hour…20 min of trade window…….but I like and respect every owner in league and Rams is good team so to make it simple for all….and make sure no one is fleeced or feel that way ……Tampa will swap all picks traded 3rd of Bucs, 5th of Vikes and Steelers with 2036 Ravens 2nd and Vikes 3rd …….. hope this will make all smile

Note - I have had my share of bad trades too

This will be done wheat season start and will update the thread post it

So if I read this correctly, he offered the trade to you? If so, was their prior negotiations? Imo these details make a difference in how I view this scenario.

In my memories, Rams owner wanted draft picks.

He got a 3rd round pick for Stovall and I think it's not far from his value, he also got a player that can fill the empty spot at least for the current season and two 5th round.

Clearly could have accepted a better offer but this one is not shocking me considering the fact that his target is not Patrick Sims, but the draft picks.

We also have seen much worse for real, we traded for Isaiah Simmons giving to the Cardinals only a seventh round pick...
