Bucs Training Camp
1st round M. Jordan, SS/LB ---> He had ok camp... did regressed a little but hoping its correction and he will be fine... He will be given chance to start or be regular in game but he will have to give all he has to stick in the rotation with the star studded secondary of Bucs
2nd round - None
3rd round
P.Powell, DE ---> Local FL kid find himself at home and went under the wings of P.Hickman to learn the art of playing himself in the rotation of Bucs star studded DL.... He boomed and will be in rotation and will be starter who will replace P.Hickman once he retire next season.....
B.Salvo, DE ---> Good kid but never adjust to FL heat and was never able to put work required to learn the ropes and always relied on the natural strength. He will have to play his heart out on special team to stick around with Bucs.
P.Larson, OG ---> Small college player put his heart to keep improving and working to make team and it paid off ..... while he did not improved he will find place in Bucs roster as OG on the running plays.....he is pathetic Pass Blocker but if he can hang in with strength and don't get QB killed than he may have chance to be part of Bucs as specialized backup as Running OG.
4th round - K.Thompson, WR - Bucs traded a bunch to have chance to draft this speedster but he came to camp thinking he is star who just slipped and never put his heart on the field... he was big bust... may have chance to stick as back up home run running back but his chances are limited unless he gets the message and start to contribute.
5th round - None
6th round - D.Brahman, DE again Bucs traded to get him so he also like K.Thompson felt special and never put needed work on the practice but since he is naturally talented he did not busted plus he is good special team player... he may stick as backup for Bucs
7th round -
F.Roach, OG this kid knew from the day he as drafted that he will never be FB in Bucs roster so he switched to being OG and special team ace.... he put all he had on field and it showed as he adapted well with Bucs OL and developed well.... he will continue his journey to learn the position and will be part of future rotation next year.... this are the gems Bucs always find late in draft.
F.Moore, WR/FB/TE utility player - He was just thankful of being draft at the end of draft by Bucs and he just came to coach and said forget position I just want to be in NFL ... he was played in various position by Bucs and has developed well.... given his flexibility about position he has good chance to make Bucs roster..... another late round gems by Bucs GM.
Waiver Wire Rookies
J.Wilks, OT ... He was drafted and cut by his original team but was quick to sign with Bucs as the FA and went to work from day one.. he had decent camp and will have future as backup with Bucs or other team in NFL
O.Buzzell, DE - Same story on the other side of the line... he came to camp with kool name and he was soon fan favorite and created lots of Buzz.... he has improved a lot in camp and with his continued growth he has chance to be in Bucs or NFL.
Overall Good Camp.... nothing spectacular .... but good camp..... where we found some role players....
Oh yes in the draft by trading pick we also acquired.
K.McCarry, TE..... Bucs are so exited to have TE allowing J.Johnson to be used in multiple position creating mismatch.
