Week 16 @ San Francisco 49ers: Final Score: 10-0

The Woodrow Hardy Trade This season saw the departure of franchise legend
Woodrow Hardy, an elite offensive lineman who had been with Seattle since being drafted 4th overall in 2029. Over his illustrious 11-year career with the Seahawks, Hardy played in 131 games, logging over 9,400 snaps and anchoring Seattle’s offensive line with consistent, elite performances.
Hardy signed his massive second contract extension at the end of 2037, valued at
$199,944,046 over six years—a deal that was heavily criticized in hindsight due to its size. While Hardy remained elite, signs of decline began to emerge, and Seattle faced tough financial decisions. With age and contract size playing major roles, the Seahawks traded Hardy to the Minnesota Vikings for a
2041 5th-round pick, a
2042 5th-round pick, and
wide receiver Rashee Vice.
The trade was bittersweet. Hardy didn’t want to leave Seattle, and the team didn’t want to part ways with him, but it was seen as the most practical move to address cap space and gain valuable assets. Hardy went on to achieve a career milestone with Minnesota, making the playoffs for the first time and winning a Super Bowl ring—a fitting culmination for a player who had given so much to Seattle.
Seahawks Under 10rrl: Progress and PotentialWhen 10rrl took over ownership in mid-2037, the Seahawks were in the midst of a rebuild. Let’s reflect on the team’s progress over the years:
-
2035 (First Year of HC Curtis Green): 6-9-1, 145 PF / 202 PA
-
2036: 6-10, 208 PF / 238 PA
-
2037: 3-13, 159 PF / 363 PA
-
2038: 5-11, 167 PF / 270 PA
-
2039: 6-10, 188 PF / 245 PA
Under 10rrl’s leadership, Seattle has steadily improved on defense while showing flashes of offensive growth. With
Curtis Green’s contract expiring and speculation that he may not return, the team could look for a new head coach—potentially one who can revitalize the offense and take the team to the next level.
