Welcome back to Seahawks Sidelines! This is your go-to source for all things Seahawks. As we embark on the journey to the 2039 season, we'll keep you updated with game recaps, player spotlights, and the latest news on our Seahawks.

    Seahawks Roster Transactions
Since the start of the post-season, we have been active in strengthening our roster:

  • Resigned: Oscar Crouch (C), Timothy Mason (QB), Jerome Hicks (LB).

  • Signed: Gerald Collier (FB, converted OL), Charles Villarreal (TE, converted OL).

  • Released: Thomas Phelps (FB), Billy Mock (CB), Ervin Gray (DT).

  • Draft Positioning: Currently holding the 9th overall pick.

  • Player Spotlight
For this edition, we’d like to shine the spotlight on former Seahawks CB, Anthony Goad. Drafted in 2028 (Round 2, Pick 4 - 36th Overall), Goad quickly became a fan favorite for his reliable performances and dedication on the field.

Throughout his career, Goad amassed impressive statistics with 818 tackles, 53 interceptions, 220 knockdowns, and a career completions allowed percentage of 47.1%. He managed to snag at least one interception in every season of his career, showcasing his remarkable consistency and ball-hawking skills. Even though his speed was sometimes a limitation, Goad made up for it with his keen instincts, excellent positioning, and tenacity in coverage.

In 2038, Goad's season was cut short by an injury that kept him out until week 6, impacting his overall stats. Despite this setback, his legacy remained strong. With his contract in its final year and the team aiming to get younger, the Seahawks decided to part ways. However, they offered Goad the choice to either finish his contract and become a free agent or retire as a Seahawk. Goad chose to retire, leaving an unforgettable mark on the team and its fans.

    Fan Bag
Let's hear from our amazing fans! Here are a couple of questions to get us started:

Q: What do you think about our head coach situation?
A: Our head coach Curtis Green is entering the final year of his contract. With a record of 20-43-1, he's had a tough tenure but has also faced many challenges, including multiple owner/GM changes. This season is crucial for him to prove his capabilities and potentially secure his position for the future.

Q: How will Gerald Collier and Charles Villarreal impact our offense?
A: Gerald Collier, now playing fullback, brings strong blocking skills that can open up more opportunities for our offense. Charles Villarreal, now a tight end, has been seen as a great blocking prospect that could improve. He can help support our offensive line in crucial situations.

    Injury Updates
Good news! Our players are all healthy and ready to hit the field for training camp so long as nothing crazy happens.

    Preseason Game Recaps
Let's take a look on how the Seahawks performed during the preseason.

Week 1: Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers August 06, 2039 - Pittsburgh, PA

  • Final Score: Seahawks 14, Steelers 27

  • Despite a valiant effort, the Seahawks fell to the Steelers in their first preseason game. The highlight of the game was a 76-yard touchdown pass from Timothy Mason to Justin Borrero. Quincy Stiver also connected with James Thibodeaux for a 23-yard touchdown. However, the team struggled to maintain possession and convert on third downs, which contributed to the loss.

Week 2: Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks August 13, 2039 - Seattle, WA

  • Final Score: Seahawks 7, Broncos 17

  • In their second preseason game, the Seahawks faced a tough match against the Broncos. Jerry Ahlers scored the lone touchdown for the Seahawks on a 2-yard run. Despite some strong defensive plays, including an interception by Benny Simon, the Seahawks couldn't overcome the Broncos' late-game surge.

Week 3: Seattle Seahawks at Cleveland Browns August 20, 2039 - Cleveland, OH

  • Final Score: Seahawks 0, Browns 32

  • The third preseason game was a challenging one for the Seahawks, as they were shut out by the Browns. Despite some solid efforts from the defense, including tackles by Garland Casey and Cory Lobdell, the offense struggled to find its rhythm, resulting in a disappointing loss.

Week 4: Houston Texans at Seattle Seahawks August 27, 2039 - Seattle, WA

  • Final Score: Seahawks 3, Texans 10

  • In their final preseason game, the Seahawks put up a fight against the Texans. Mark Joyner kicked a 20-yard field goal, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Despite notable performances from players like Jerry Ahlers and Paul Radford, the Seahawks fell short in the end.

    NFC West Rivalry Watch
The NFC West is always a battleground, and this season promises to be no different. Here are the preseason standings for our division:

  • Los Angeles Rams: 2-2-0, 77 PF, 92 PA

  • Arizona Cardinals: 0-4-0, 26 PF, 122 PA

  • San Francisco 49ers: 0-4-0, 29 PF, 137 PA

  • The Rams led the pack with a 2-2 record, while the Seahawks, Cardinals, and 49ers are all looking to turn things around after winless preseasons. Rivalry games will be key, and every division matchup will be a must-watch this season. On the bright side, the Seahawks had the least PA in the division.

Q: What do you think is the biggest challenge for the Seahawks this season?
A: The biggest challenge will be finding consistency on both sides of the ball. The preseason has highlighted some areas that needs improvement. The coaching staff is focused on addressing these issues as we head into the regular season.

    Upcoming Regular Season Games

The Packers proved too much to handle, showcasing why they were one of the league’s best teams.

Week 10 @ Los Angeles Rams:
    Final Score: 3-9
Another defensive battle saw Seattle’s offense struggle to break through against the Rams on the road.

    Week 11 vs. Denver Broncos:
    Final Score: 10-13
A close game ended with Seattle unable to convert late opportunities into points.

    Week 12 @ Arizona Cardinals:
    Final Score: 16-7
Seattle swept the season series against Arizona, demonstrating their dominance in this matchup.

    Week 13 vs. Chicago Bears:
    Final Score: 30-6
Seattle’s most impressive team victory of the year came against Chicago, showcasing their potential when firing on all cylinders.

    Week 14 @ Detroit Lions:
    Final Score: 3-18
Detroit’s defense stymied Seattle’s offense late in the season, keeping them out of the end zone.

    Week 15 vs. Philadelphia Eagles:
    Final Score: 10-6
Seattle’s defense shined in this gritty home victory, keeping Philadelphia in check throughout the contest.

    Week 16 @ San Francisco 49ers:
    Final Score: 10-0
Seattle closed out the season with a historic shutout victory over San Francisco—their first win against the 49ers under 10rrl’s ownership. A fitting end to the season.

    The Woodrow Hardy Trade
This season saw the departure of franchise legend Woodrow Hardy, an elite offensive lineman who had been with Seattle since being drafted 4th overall in 2029. Over his illustrious 11-year career with the Seahawks, Hardy played in 131 games, logging over 9,400 snaps and anchoring Seattle’s offensive line with consistent, elite performances.

Hardy signed his massive second contract extension at the end of 2037, valued at $199,944,046 over six years—a deal that was heavily criticized in hindsight due to its size. While Hardy remained elite, signs of decline began to emerge, and Seattle faced tough financial decisions. With age and contract size playing major roles, the Seahawks traded Hardy to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2041 5th-round pick, a 2042 5th-round pick, and wide receiver Rashee Vice.

The trade was bittersweet. Hardy didn’t want to leave Seattle, and the team didn’t want to part ways with him, but it was seen as the most practical move to address cap space and gain valuable assets. Hardy went on to achieve a career milestone with Minnesota, making the playoffs for the first time and winning a Super Bowl ring—a fitting culmination for a player who had given so much to Seattle.

Seahawks Under 10rrl: Progress and Potential
When 10rrl took over ownership in mid-2037, the Seahawks were in the midst of a rebuild. Let’s reflect on the team’s progress over the years:

    - 2035 (First Year of HC Curtis Green): 6-9-1, 145 PF / 202 PA
    - 2036: 6-10, 208 PF / 238 PA
    - 2037: 3-13, 159 PF / 363 PA
    - 2038: 5-11, 167 PF / 270 PA
    - 2039: 6-10, 188 PF / 245 PA

Under 10rrl’s leadership, Seattle has steadily improved on defense while showing flashes of offensive growth. With Curtis Green’s contract expiring and speculation that he may not return, the team could look for a new head coach—potentially one who can revitalize the offense and take the team to the next level.

    Fan Bag

Q: What are the Seahawks’ priorities for the offseason?
A: Seattle will focus on strengthening their receiving corps, linebacking unit, and secondary to complement their emerging stars and improve overall consistency.

Re: Seahawks Sidelines - 2040 Edition: Welcome, Coach Marx

    By 10rrl
    3/28/2025 9:55 pm
The Seattle Seahawks are excited to officially announce Allen Marx as our new head coach! At just 43 years old, Marx brings years of expertise, a winning mindset, and a game plan that’s ready to inspire this team and the 12s.

For the past 8 seasons, Marx served as Defensive Coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, where his heavy-blitzing 4-3 defensive style was a nightmare for opposing offenses. Under his leadership, the Chargers consistently ranked among the league’s elite, with some eye-popping defensive stats: 2039 PA: 105 ,2038 PA: 141 ,2037 PA: 95 ,2036 PA: 148

Beyond the X’s and O’s, Marx’s impact helped fuel an incredible 103-39-1 record for the Chargers from 2032-2039. But let’s not forget his offensive vision—Marx is bringing a run-focused offensive scheme to Seattle that’s designed to bring consistency and physicality to every matchup.

What’s Next? We know success doesn’t always translate from one team to another, and Seahawks fans can expect a blend of growing pains and promise as Marx shapes Seattle’s identity. But one thing is certain: his energy, leadership, and defensive mentality make this an exciting time for a Seahawks fan.

Stay tuned for an in-depth feature coming soon on Seahawks Sidelines, where we’ll break down what this hire means for the franchise moving forward and more.

Welcome to Seattle, Coach Marx! Let’s get to work. Go Hawks!
