I just tried to offer you a trade but the meter is asking 2080 to make this work, which is the price of an elite RB/WR, nice to know the tradeometer is still not working ;)

To be honest I hoped to get a good RB/WR. On the otherside you'll get an elite OL in return ;)

What Gus stated is the big problem offering a trade for an OL that has a trade value over 1500. The OL position doesnt cut it when compared to an elite WR or a top ten draft pick. The meter is way off when it comes to bestowing trade values on players, and picks. First round picks should be 900 and up. 2nd round should be 450 and up. 3rd round should be 225 and up. The only players that should have 2000 ratings should be WRs & DBs. RB? QB? yeah, both are important but.... you can get a RB out of the FA pool with 90+ speed who can end up in the top ten for the league in rushing. Ive got a bunch of RBs rated under 70 default with ypc's over 5 yards. Its nice to have a 90 rated QB, especially when he performs up to his rating, but dont count on it. Like RBs, Ive got several 60 & 70 rated QBs that start ahead of 80-90 raters, including a playoff MVP that I got out of the FA pool the day before the playoffs started! lol David "Gilly" Gilmore, in Beta 87, great example of why you dont need to spend a first round pick or a lot of FA money on a QB. As for OL, you also dont have to have an "elite" to make a big difference on your blocking effeiciency, it's nice, but not necessary. My starting LG on the Falcons, Coston, has a 71 default rating, 74 by my weights. He allowed 1 sack in 1,165 plays last season. So, it doesnt take an "elite" to produce great results at the OL position. Shipp, the elite rated guard, gave up 4 sacks in 1145 plays.

Well, to me it sounds that there should be addaptions on the game engine rather than the tradevalues.

Just think about the reality. NFL teams frequently draft elite OL prospekts high in the first round, especialy if they play LT. And we dont need to talk about QB in that matter.

Im happy that there is a bit of a difference at the QB position, because in reality it sometimes seems that its the only thing that realy matters. And thats a bit anoying. To me a good O line is more important than a good QB (in this game).

Understand your take on it Ritzi, but the actual reality is that MFN is not the real NFL, its a simulation trying to get as close as it can get. An OL valued by the MFN trade meter at 2000 is just not as valuable to a team as a WR or DB valued at 2000. For those that might be interested in making a deal like that, please send me a trade offer if I have a 2000 OL on any of my teams and you have a 2000 WR or DB. I agree about the QB diversity, it does make it more interesting and unpredictable, and on the other hand, more frustrating for many, some have quit the game because of the inconsistencies in QB play as related to their ratings and attributes. Whether you like that or not, you have to take it into consideration for your roster, especially in allocation and regular drafts, FA bids and acquisitions, and start vs backup. Which is why you can depend more on an elite, 2000 trade value WR or DB than you can on a QB with the same rating/meter value. A 2000/85+ RB is a good bet, especially if he has high speed over 80, but you can get the same or close to same performance from most any RB with speed, they are much easier to find than the WRs & DBs.
