18th pick jump and a 6th for a 2nd?

Depending on the target, I might have done the same thing as Miami here. Sometimes I have a first-round grade on someone at 2.10 and a third-round grade on everyone at 2.28.

Also, I don't have a problem with trades involving experienced owners who regularly make the playoffs. I just get concerned when someone is taken advantage of.

Oh! Miami definitely got the better end of this one. They drafted a DE at 2.10 who would have been a great pick at 1.10! (EDIT: He shouldn't be playing DT2 at DE weight, but that's another issue.)

At 2.28, Tampa got a slow LB who busted.

Yeah, but neither party knew that at time of trade.

In that case, happy for Miami.

Guess the other owner's self-professed skill at determining if a player booms or busts failed.

I've made aggressive trades like this when I want a player. I did the same thing a few seasons ago for a QB that fell to 3 that ended up busting. Had he not busted, he was a first round pick.

Definitely aggressive but most 6th rounders are useless - some drafts in other leagues there's been a massive talent dropoff after the third. Heck, one draft I was in recently, started looking at high vol in the 4th.

If it had been 2 2nds for a 2nd and a 3rd/4th, would've looked better to me

Dude …stop finding the issue ..it’s funny ..this trade was sure shot win for Miami …..It’s standard trade 2 lower 2nd for high second specially if your chasing a player ….

What is your point except trying find something out of nothing
