Fowler should not count as a TE since he never got to the weight minimum. At 230, he has the advantage over LBs.

Meanwhile, with a 19-catch performance in week one ...

There is a lot of reasons for that but it started with the right game plan. The TE checks most of the boxes to be decent. The combo b&r and route helps

Seems like TE has such a high bar to be "elite".

Blame JDB and the faulty game mechanics.

Well, it's a combination.

Player weightings are flawed. Needs to be more based on actual values than assigning weightings to skills, though concede that could expose the game engine mechanics. This then affects players searches - you really have to go down the route of downloading the files and assessing that way.

Equally, how do you set weightings for a TE? It's just for a "TE", not a pass receiving TE, not an inline TE. It lacks enough granularity. If there was an easily accessible in game API, would be begging out for third party apps to help.

TEs in particular, you're leaning towards using O line for run heavy sets, heavier WRs otherwise.

EDIT: And of course, the biggest problem is that forum search is appallingly bad, so that you can't easily search for posts by "setherick" which is compounded by useful posts being lost when leagues close.

On a more general note, does this therefore mean acceleration is a lot more important than people have been believing?

Without investigating, can see how it could affect O Line/D Line reflexes, skill positions et al.

Stats vs Atts and where do they meet. Play selection, useage, rules, and misc settings will also be a factor. How about now? after 4 weeks in? The top receiving TE?

Lopez/Jets, a 10 yr vet, 68 speed with only 57 acceleration. Looks like a winning pickup from early FA by the Jets, got him on a $4 million contract for 1 year. He was let go by yours truly, lol.

Not only is he the leading TE, he is also leading the league in receptions/46, yards at 458 almost 100 yds ahead of the next best, 10 yd avg per catch, and 4 TDs. SMH, how did I miss him when I had him? Thayer is my starting TE, with higher rating and better attributes is why, and he is ranked 4th for receptions.
