A good camp for the Falcons, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounder (CB + 3, LB + 5, TE -1 and DE +4) did well and should be Day 1 contributors if not starters.

Later round picks all busted including 5th round kicker who went -13 but a high Vol rookie UDFA kicker I signed went +9 so balanced that out and a couple of other UDFA rookie OL did well enough to stick around for pre-season depth.

Overall happy with it and MUCH better than last year's draft..

That’s good :)

My draft this year is the complete opposite of last year , but I’ll take it as last years draft was for a QB , so phew ! On that one lol

Leaving a QB upgrade to the final part of my roster building, tbh, so possibly a few seasons away on that score.

With further review, I was pleased a 4th round TE boomed - still need another, but he's good enough to cover FB too. QB turned RB in the 4th improved well - can't catch for ****, but could be a good 3rd/4th choice back. Moved a few players positions around, so more speed at LB. One DT busting means a cut slot made, other improving meant I could finally dump Tiernan and his bad contract.

Rest of the draft, a few of the busts may pan out as dedicated returners, a bit of a luxury, but an idea I'm looking at. MLB busting was a blow, but his main stats should hold up.

Hopefully the 1st rounder has finished dropping stats and will stabilise going forward.

Going to rest starts for most of pre season, using it to try a few things out.

We had typical Bucs Draft…..no major bust and great pick in mid round. Bucs had no 1st round so this was critical draft to get it right.

2-3 Aaron Bemis, C Auburn - There was lot of expectation and pressure on him being Bucs 1st pick in draft….he struggled a bit in draft but quickly realized and listen to coaches to improve and earn his plays….He will be backup first year with chance to start eventually soon. 59/83…+4/ -4

3-2 Brett Hawkins, DE Penn State - He slides a lot due to rumors about his attitude problem at Penn State but Tim Jones, DT Bucs who is Penn State Alumni asked us to draft the kid…He took him under his wings and it was evident from day one of camp as he started to turn some heads…he should be starter but due to our star studded Defensive Line but he is future leader of Defense. 43/83 +8/ +5

5-21 Samuel Fernandez, CB UCF - He was college starter who was good at everything but not spectacular but Bucs coaching staff liked his work ethics and decided to add him to our crowded secondary. He had decent camp where he proved he belong in NFL as backup and will make team as depth or will be traded. 35/69 +8/ +5

6-20 Tom McNeil, LB/DL USC he was star at college but played out of position he switched between LB/DL with lack of initial burst for NFL. He came to camp and surprised us by forming friendship with Bret and being sponge who learn and performed on field. He will make it in NFL team as depth DE… 34/71 +10/ +7

6-29 Grady Fuller, RB TCU he was decent RB/FB in college and Bucs picked him for his FB and special team capabilities…he did had decent camp and did what’s was asked but he did not showed differentiation at all…..so he will be given more chance but will be hard pressed to make roster baring any injury but may bounce around NFL as young depth 37/53 +7/ -1

7-3 Robert Jeffries, WR USC he is sure handed but not spectacular WR out of college….he came to camp and just hit the ground running with aim to make the team by learning and I proving every day he has good chance to be WR #5 39/67 +10/ +8

7-29 M. Lawrence QB-LS FSU he was drafted for is KH ability and he did not disappointed at all …he will be given chance to earn the position over preseason and it may come to spot on roster but deserving KH 40/64 +6/ +2

Overall good camp with no major bust and many contributors with 2 clear future starter.

Corrected for QB as KH and not LS….thanks Martin to fig out.

Lawrence a LS? I don't think so...

I dunno about that one.

ST is obviously important, but if you're keeping him on the roster solely for KH, I just think you're wasting a roster spot. He's a poor QB, wouldn't be convertable to say RB so you'd be keeping him active purely for how many plays a game?

For KH, I tend to use punter. LS is usually my backup C or a TE. Returners depth from WR, RB, CB though currently do have two draftees I'm trying out as pure returners to see how that goes.

I just think LS, KH are so niche that dedicating roster game day spots to a player that can't contribute in "normal" plays handicaps you. If it works for you, great!

Adding to martin's point: 87 might be good enough for kick holding, but not so good as to justify a roster spot with no other contribution.

And it doesn't matter, because your kicker isn't going to make many field goals with 71 ST and 82 KA.

Maybe the plan is just to score TDs and go for 2 pointers all the time?

Overall a good draft for the Browns this year:
1-17: WR Robert Williams +27/+7 now 70/89
Likely to be a good starting wide receiver for the team
3-8: TE Brian Phillips +9/+5 now 41/77 (also 50/82 at LS)
Likely to be a good back-up TE as potentially develop into a starter also good ST potential
4-7: CB Modesto Howard +8/-1 now 50/67
Has some speed and acceleration, likely to gain a CB spot on the roster and ST potential
4-17: FS David Nowak +1/-1 now 31/61
A little underwhelming but could be a useful back up in the FS grouping due to his speed and also has some good ST potential. However may not make the cut vs other secondary players this season.
4-30: FB Joseph Johnson +11/+4 now 34/61
Due to speed could very well be a good FB on the roster pending his overall development. May also not make the cut depending on performance.
5-17: WR Raymond Rosier +11/+7 now 44/77
Likely to be a starting receiver for the team in a year (also has decent speed and good acceleration making him a potential WR3 for this year)
6-17: SLB James Graham +4/-3 now 32/58
Didn’t make the cut for the team in the preseason
7-17 QB Tad Herrmann +5/+3
Was a bot pick and didn’t make the cuts for preseason (no accuracy so likely will sit in free agents for his entire career here)

Not looked at stats, not sure if that's default rating or your own weights, but any time you get a decent improvement like that, future of 77 for a 5th rounder, it's a good draft.

Think I must have had the worse draft in the league this season.
