As we learned in the Tampa-Denver trade discussion: Reasonable minds can disagree about whether bad trades should be allowed, or to what degree they should be allowed.

But can we at least agree this is a bad trade? Two valuable draft picks from a perennial loser for a pair of ancient players with handicaps.

If you think this is a good trade, I urge you to choose your favorite of my 33-year-old DLs and send me a top 40 pick.

I heard a fantasy sports radio personality say the following and I like this view...

"you can't legislate for stupidity, but you can legislate for collusion".

Nobody is denying these trades are lopsided/stupid but they aren't collusion trades.

Gustoon put rules in place long ago, limiting how many 1st round picks Hkpman can have. As long as those rules aren't broken, let the trades go through.

Even if these trades were collusion, how are they gonna be fixed? The one person who can actually void the trades people are crying about hasn't been very active in quite some time.

You can't legislate stupid? What you mean you can't? Of course you can.

At any rate, I'm not asking for this to be reversed. There is accountability in simply pointing out when someone gets fleeced.

There have been a flurry of bad trades lately, which negatively impacts the league's competitive fairness. It drives players away, and prevents players from joining because they don't want to take over bad rosters with cap problems and no draft picks, or compete against a team that is loaded with ill-gotten high draft picks and waiver claims from AI teams.

Lately? Maybe I'm just numb to it but we've always had bad trades in MFN, not a new phenomena imo. I don't even usually look at trades other than to glance at them and get the message marked as read unless there are comments on them.

I just went through this in USFL about a trade so I guess it's still on my mind.

While I don't disagree bad rosters/cap space drive people away, it's just 1 of many reasons and it's low on the priority list but this is neither the time or place to pick apart the failings of MFN the game.

Back to the topic at hand: If anyone wants to waste a high pick on an aging player of limited value, I'm taking offers.
