What Greg said. There is really only so much gameplanning and roster management you can do and the rest is up to the sim. There have been times I forgot or didn’t scout or do run/pass and my team has one of the best performances.
I honestly believe, no proof of course, that during the season you will know if you have a contender or not. Seems like the sim makes up its mind early and that’s when you need to ride the wave and hope you can go the distance. Also speed still matters.
