With no Hard Knocks cameras lurking around, the Raiders rookies had an awesome camp. I voided the contract of 2 draft picks you won't see here, 1 boomed, 1 busted. You will see the 4 draft picks I kept plus the 2 rookies I signed in late free agency.
The Falcons first Training Camp under my watch was mixed, disappointing first two picks
1st round WR 19/-5 - disappointing outcome but will still contibute and likely be a starter 2nd round LB 8/-2 - will be my starter despite the small bust 3rd round OT 13/+6 - good outcome, should be a future starter 4th round FS 4/-2 - a position of need, not a disaster 5th round LB 1/+2 - decent value and will be my starter 6th round OG 2/+1 - nice outcome, will get playing time 7th round DE 4/+3 - should stick as depth
Horrible, I prefer to pretend there was no training camp, as usual I am unlucky, volatility also have no meanings, 30 or 90, there is no difference lol
Chatter in the Bucs camp was that all rookies were bit disappointed as none had clear shot to starting role anytime soon given the loaded roster of Bucs, this kind of demotivated some arly picks hoping to be immediate star but now faced reality of being back ups...
1st round - Adam Watson, FS - +17/-1 He immediately bonded with Issac Wallace & Mike Edwards in the camp...... it took him little time but he quickly accepted his role as the understudy to Issac Wallace and became the best buddy of our young gun Mike Edwards forming formidable defensive core for future. Overall - He will contribute right away and is future of Bucs Defense.
1st round - Richard Francis, RB - 3/-5 - Bucs debated this pick between him and Clay Justice.....which some how leaked out during the camp and that news demotivated him making him unhappy and under performed at the camp, depends on where his head is and how he respond to his role as back up RB and starting KR/PR he has future with Bucs. Overall - decent pick...but one that will always be debated as we almost took Clay Justice who will be bonafied star in the league but with his speed R, Francis can be immediate contributor to Bucs with chance to regain the starting RB role in new future.
3rd round pick - E.Johnson, DT - +7/-10 We had high hopes from Ed as this was pick made based on needs (usually Buc's tradition is to pick the best player on the board), Ed felt overwhelmed with high expectation of being #3 DT on the Super Bowl winning team and buckled and relegated himself as the lifetime back up. Overall - He is life time backup.
5th round pick - C. Fox, OG - +7/-1 He was pick with intention to provide depth and he did not disappointed at all. He will be adequate back up at the RG. Overall - He will be good depth at RG with good special team qualities.
5th round pick - J.Johnson, LT - +15/+12 - He was picked with intention to provide depth on the OL and special team but he came to camp with chip on the shoulder about being not drafted till 5th round plus he built great friendship with Spinella from day one and worked his **** off to prove that he is future of Bucs.... Overall - He will be immediate contributor and future of Bucs.
5th round pick - T. Lusk, FB/RB - +3/0 He was brought in to provide competition at the need position of FB, while he did not bulked up to be pure FB he turned out to be good H-back who can contribute to many position as back up RB, FB, TE and special team contributor.. Overall - He will be typical back up contributor for Bucs.
FA - Rookie - J. Velez, FS - +8/+5 He was picked up once dropped by Ravens to provide special team depth but to our surprise he came with attitude to prove and was thankful for Bucs to give him chance and really put his work to prove that he belongs. Overall - He will be backup providing depth in Bucs deep secondary and special team contributor.
Overall nothing great but very solid camp with good picks who will help Bucs stay on the top.

That was a brutal camp, though the 2 first round busts didn't bust all that hard and will be useful players. One of those QB's could possibly be switched to RB, the fast one. His RB ratings **** but 90 speed plays regardless.
