1. Trade with the Bucs that brought in LT Peter Leasure. The cost was steep, but management thought it necessary. Leasure was brought in for this years 1st round pick and a 2027 2nd and 3rd rounder. The Colts also got a 2025 2nd rounder in the trade.
The Colts have many holes to fill on this team, and this may have been too much for a team that's rebuilding.
2. The Colts also broke the bank by signing FA RDE- Jason Norman from Denver. It took $95 million / 6 years, but Norman should help improve the defense that ranked 10th in run last season.
The goal for the season is to make the playoffs. At 6-10 last season, our hope is to have these two guys make a difference. If the Colts are under .500 again this season, the 2 moves were not very wise.
We actually thought it will be offseason of minimum changes but than couple of conversation with fellow owners and follow up talk with our coaches ... Bucs owner & GM - Hitech decided that its time to be bold so we went ahead and traded 2 cornerstone of our team that made progress but did not break the playoff barrier..... we agreed to move A.Wills - WR & P.Leasure - only LT we have ever known as the team. It was expensive move but its the move we had to make in order to give our team chance to keep building for the day when we crack the playoff and ready to make some noise......flurry of trades and each one brought level of optimism in BucsLand combined with risk.....but overall we feel we have got many players who will fit Bucs plan...
We were not active in free agency as we were fighting to stay under the salary cap..... but picked J.Trejo - OG/ LS plus C.Stephonson, DT with strength to clog the running lanes for other teams.
Draft was main source of talent for Bucs and with lots of moving up and down we are cautiously optimistic of this draft that was totally handled out of characteristic for Buc's style....we went for need over value..... hope it will pay off in long run but bit worried about training camp as odd will never favor the team to have 16 players drafted and all bloom..... but that's the life
We are still far from done as far as final roster is concerned .... All Bucs players know that except A.Obryan, DE & R. Louise, WR ..... all players are tradable at any given point.....
Good to all for Training Camp and let's hope Bucs have made the moves in right direction.....and yes be ready for movements post training camp......
Any guess which Bucs will bloom and which Buc will bust.... :)
Bucs has decent draft... no major bust..... except our dream pick of QB- D.Levinson, QB went bust and will make Bucs as life time back up. We had two lower round pick H.Washington, CB, Homer Mapp, DT, D. Webster, OG, C.Beasley ,LT & H.Williams WR/RB/TE were bloom.....

Good luck to everyone this season!
Well you trade worked out just fine .... as P. Leasure maintained his value and LDE you draft bloomed ...so overall no loss in the trade for Colts

Yes, very happy with the trade and draft. Colts draft picks went 5 for 6, + from camp.
Rookies TE: Large 4/4 TE turned WR: Meza 10/2 RT: Wilson 3/3 RT: Wallace 5/5 DE: Wooten 5/-5 LB: Pilkington 9/-2
Notes: 9 yr vet WR Tucker took a big hit in speed. Looks to be retiring soon. OLinemen Parr and Magnuson had good camps Had to cut long time LB Walker as he is falling fast towards retirement.
