GG GrandadB. I'm not gonna lie. I eagerly anticipate the penalty for platooning QB's with the next update.

You mean the feature that a new QB comes in "cold" from the bench?

The best guy to find out more about that whole situation is seth and the threads in MFN 1, he is always on the forefront of what JDB is trying to do with the game code. Dont blame me for subbing a QB, if the game is going to favor it, that's what I'm gonna do. Fatigue doesnt only affect the QB, you need to look at it for all positions other than the kickers. Its a mistake to let the AI set your fatigue, like it is for most every other aspect of managing your team. I dont mind the game going either way, as far as the QB fatigue situation, if it swings to making it mandatory to playing the starter 100%, that's fine too. But until it is a level playing field, I go with the advantage and have passed that on to several of you who Ive "coached" and advised on the game, lol. cheers! gdb

PS: For those who complain about "QB Platooning", and say it isnt "realistic", I say so what, there's a lot of non-similarities between MFN & NFL. The QB should be the most important position on the team, like it is in the NFL, but its not. Ive won LCs with 50 something raters, and Ive had 90 raters throw 5 picks, the QBs have been the flakiest of positions to get consistency similar to the NFL. The most important positions on a team at this point in the game are still the DBs & WRs, thats the positions that the GMs who consistently win "put their money on".

I used a 2 or 3 qb system before it was cool in MFN 85 out of necessity, trying to find a starter. Once I found him, I went back to just 1 qb. Then I started noticing a lot of teams using multiple qb's and found out about the fatigue factor.

I still resisted using it myself until a couple of my teams had struggling qb's who didn't normally struggle with basically the same supporting cast. Once I started rotating, their performance improved. I'm sorry if people get ****-hurt about multiple qb's but the whole point of this game is to win right? I'm a Raiders fan and we all know their mantra, Just Win Baby!

I don't set my rotation by fatigue, rather by personnel grouping. Sometimes it's random but mostly there is reasoning behind who plays in which personnel group. In a couple leagues I use a 3 qb rotation because I have 3 good qb's. Anyway, if 1 guy has superior scrambling I probably use him in the 4 and 5 wr packages since the pass blocking seems less effective. Maybe I use the guy with the biggest arm there, it all depends on what that team's qb's can do.

Anyone wanting to study the effects better WR have on qb's, take a look at this team over the seasons I have ran this team. https://mfn48.myfootballnow.com/team/31

Cliff Moore has all the attributes but he was awful when I first took over. This was one of my first teams so there were growing pains as I learned MFN, but in my early seasons, that team lacked really good WR's. Now this team has 2 All Pro type WR, a strong running game and a solid OL.

Just look at Cliff Moore year by year https://mfn48.myfootballnow.com/player/618 and you can tell when I improved the team around him. His default rating is 90.

Having a trio of good WR can make average QB's league champions. In MFN 32, I just won that league with a qb duo with default ratings of 72/73 and 64/65. https://mfn32.myfootballnow.com/team/3.

I don't mind if ppl use the system. I just can't wait for it to be penalized. Just like blitzing became penalized. I have always used the blitz to my benefit.
There are many exploits in this game. I choose to use some of them. I don't mind if others use them, either.

I'm just stating that I eagerly await this update for that reason. It will "fix" one if these exploits.
The idea is to improve the game. Right?

GG Dallas..... you played error free football and got W that you deserve

Our Saga continues to give away games in 4th QTR.

Key penalty on the missed FG gave you life to score touchdown...
Key interception killed the comeback hope

GG Mac/Browns, looks like the Dirty Birds caught a good sim, 4 picks is usually a loss, but the D did a good job of limiting the damage.
