Proposal for Position Matrix season 2046
by martinwarnett @ 4/29/2026 11:56 am
Thought I'd create a thread to get views for any changes, how people feel it's been so far.

I've one proposed change.

Allowing O lineman to play TE spot.

Rationale:
1. They'll be useless in the passing game.
2. It would allow owners to play them as extra O lineman for running formations.

Any feelings either way? I'm happy to be persuaded either way.

I’d be down for that. If any objections, I think it at least makes sense in 2RB/3TE and 3/1/1 formations.

Yeah, that was my thinking - I have on occasion used that pre-Matrix days.

You can't restrict changes to formations (that would be a nightmare to manage).

Depending how things go, I may return Long Plays - but would be 2047 at the minimum not next season.

When I refer to long plays, changes are being made in MFN-1 around the passing game, long passes especially.

What I saw in the first game with those changes, avg per completion a staggering 17 yards. Avg per attempt was 2.11. 18 sacks against.

Until more balance, I can't in good faith allow people to use broken plays.
