It's become obvious that game planning is broken and changing game plans.
Also owners keep using long passes even though we have explained over and over that they are broken.
I'm just removing all long passes this weekend to avoid more silly games like my game against Arizona which i hope was caused by the game plan getting reset.
This was a post from 11/2025, just a few months ago, and I must disagree. It was highly suggested to me that I shouldn't use long passes as they don't work. I found out that sometimes they do work. What would football games be without bombs thrown every once in a while. When they do work, doesn't it mess up AI when it comes to readjusting for the game? I don't use them all the time but, every once in a while, I sneak in 1 or 2 just for laughs to see if they work. Throwing the long pass is like playing the lottery, you can't win, if you don't play it.

They simply do not work. This is based on data from the league last year. All of these are Bayesian probabilities, so 0.5 is a 50/50 chance of a play succeeding (in this case gain 12 yards). The probability of a sack on all of these plays so greatly outweighs the potential of a completion, let alone success, that I won't allow them in the game because it puts teams that use them at a competitive disadvantage.
Wow!!! Seth, that is some great info and stats! That does put the entire rational of using, or not using, long passes into a clear perspective. Thanks for the info!!!!
