Do need to learn Python at some point (alongside endless other tech and improve maths skills...) but can look at implementing in my preferred Java, shamelessly ripoff, oops, offer feedback.
EDIT: And this stuff is why JDB needs to seriously look at providing apis called by external apps as the community grows...

The JDB who gave us a power ranking formula that has the 0-5 Lions at No. 12.

His ranking code clearly doesn't penalise for bad GM decisions.
In reality, have a high weighting due to you, Seth and Bears being pretty good and highly ranked.

Seth, What does this give us that the game does not? I'll definitely try it out, but need to what I'm actually looking at?

Ability to control for minimum values
Also I adjusted the speed to be actual percentages
And ability to evaluate based on estimate speed and acceleration from changing positions
And a new metric for linebackers and secondary

Ahh - to ensure correct weight at position etc. Thanks Seth.

Right. I added a few more things to the post above
I think OL evaluation is off. When I was putting the primary and secondary skills on it, I left speed and acceleration as primary so it undervalues pass blocking some. It's likely a wash since your linemen have to get into position to block in the first place and the blocking skill is just how long they hold the block on a block vs rush roll. So a 70 speed, 70 acceleration lineman with 60 pass block should be more effective than a 30 speed, 30 acceleration one with 90 pass block.
