I was hoping not to go down this route, but it has been noted that some owners are playing OOP players to gain an advantage. While I accept that the real NFL is largely a passing league it still employs players playing in position. Also lining up much lighter players on D is also something I want to crack down on.
I'm not going down the minimum weight route, (yet) but just be sensible or this will also come into affect. For anyone not getting what I mean, converting a much smaller player (5' 10" CB into a LB, DT or DE) into a position they have no chance in reaching a realistic weight.
Of course all this can be bypassed with overrides, please don't go that route, this is a game we play for fun and lets keep it that way.
This league has always had a high level of integrity from its owners and I want to keep it that way. Should you feel that you don't want to adhere to these rules I would appreciate a PM if you wish to leave.
So from next season your depth charts MUST have ....
OFFENSE RB1, RB2, RB3 FB1 TE1, TE2 RBs, TEs, FBs may also play at WR position.
DEFENSE RDE/LDE1, RDE/LDE2 DT1, DT2 LB1, LB2, LB3 (MLB, WLB OR SLB) Secondary, CB, SS and FS interchangeable.
Will that imply that WR are not eligible as RB, TE, FB except for high injury cases at these positions?
I don't want to be a killjoy, but I think its in the interest of the game and longevity of owners that some kind of realistic experience is adhered to. Having a team with 12 CBs that play all over the D or nothing but a team full of WRs is kind of losing something to the integrity of the league that we've built here.
Some other leagues are insisting that player weights must be used for these positions, but its incredibly hard to police and as new players come into the league can sometimes fall foul of this rule. Personally I think if owners just play the game with at least the bare minimum of players in position, then we don't have a problem and the game is still fair and enjoyable :)
Can we have FB2 and used him as RB2/RB3 ? A - yes Playing a heavier player in a lighter players role is ok BUT, see answer below... *.
Same for TE2 or TE3... can he be used as FB2, RB2, RB3, WR4 or C3 A- *Now we are getting into a grey area, Yes you can play a TE at FB2 or any WR slot. If you play a TE in the RB position, before RB3, he MUST be at a TE weight, in other words his primary position is TE and is at TE weight, which then takes me down a road I don't want to go, player weights which TBH is a great big headache I don't want to have in checking .
Sorry I am asking as I like to play more depth at my FB than just 1 player A - I'm not suggesting you only play 1 x FB, that would be a league minimum requirement.
The whole reason for using RB1, RB2 etc... is to stop (or at least slow down) people gaining a speed advantage.

So there is no confusion....
This is what is expected from next season, so plenty of time to get your ducks in a row.
OFFENSE RB1, RB2, RB3 FB1 TE1, TE2 RBs, TEs, FBs may also play at WR position.
DEFENSE RDE/LDE1, RDE/LDE2 DT1, DT2 LB1, LB2, LB3 (MLB, WLB OR SLB) Secondary, CB, SS and FS interchangeable.
Yikes!! So many teams! I assumed you were referring to one bad egg. At that rate, I’m tempted to think what the ****, if they are I will…ha ha!!
Shame that a few of those teams will make the playoffs at the expense of teams that followed the rules :(
Maybe send a PM?
OK, everyone in the league now has a personal PM and I apologise to those of you that are towing the line who have received this, but I also want to draw attention to this and if you would like, make comment and support this rule.
This may be harsh, but any WR rushing in week 16 will earn their owner an ownership forfeit for one game, they will need to promise to make changes on return to their (should they want to come back) if not the ban will be a perma!
Just to clarify again, if you want your WR to rush the ball he has to permanently be a RB at least for that season. Should you wish to convert him back to a WR, no problem. But he cannot then play RB for that season, failure to comply will earn a suspension or ban.
Sorry to be so heavy handed, but this needs sorting out as most owners are following the code
