Interesting facts....

You always play teams in your division...but Bucs and Giants will not know that... as from 2009 till 2017 they pretty much play each other in regular season... except 1 season.....

We love playing Giants..... one of the best team... just thought its interesting....fact of scheduling...

When I see a map of america, it's like Tampa is in the east, that's why we meet so often, you're like a NFC East team, not like Dallas that is in the south !

When they realigned the divisions, most went by geography but they didn't want to break up the group of 4 teams currently in the East, since they all were division rivals for so long. Same reason Miami is in the East while Baltimore is in the North.

I just loved the fact that we play Giants in this MFN also every year since 2009..... LOL

Division winners and playoff teams are generally scheduled against each other in the next season. Same with last place teams. So, the more you win, the more you have to face the winning teams in your conference. Same with the Giants. Since you both win, you both play each other.

Regular NFL Scheduling is 2X against each division opponent (6 games), 4 games against one division in the other conference, 4 games against one division in your conference, and two "wild cards" where you play teams that finished in the same spot in their division last year.

The schedule formula works great as a season ticket holder will see every team at least once every 8 years. They rotate home and away so in 2020, Las Vegas hosted New Orleans and Tampa Bay in real life, and they travel to Atlanta and Carolina. In 2024, Raiders will have road games at New Orleans and Tampa while they host the Falcons and Panthers. 2028 schedule will be same as 2020 except for the 2 AFC opponents that are determined by standings.
