Whoa 3 -1s and a 2nd
IMO overpaid for those two

Anyone else feel that way?

IMO it is on the steep side to invest so much over 3 seasons, but they are starting calibre players

Just for clarity purpose...

Bucs paid 2 -1st to acquire R. Bowens , cb (Just couple of days ago)

In this trade we have send those same picks & 2nd round Lions back to Bucs for J.Stoops, RB

There was additional 1st added for R.Swader, LB

Essentially here is the net trade for all of you

Bucs send --> J.Reid, cb , R. Swader, LB, J.Stoops, RB , 6th round 2015
Lions send --> R.Bowens, CB, 2016 5th round , 2017 2nd round, 2018 1st round & 2nd round,

Breaking it further

J.Stoops, RB for R. Bownes, CB & 2018 2nd rd Lions (late pick)

J.Reid,CB for 2017 2nd round Lions (late pick)

2015 - 6th round for 2016 - 5th round

R.Sawder, LB for 2018 1st round Lions (late pick)

In this 2 trades Lions acquired 3 starting players and Bucs acquired 1 starting player and 2 - 2nd and 1 st round...

I can see sending two 1st rd picks for the RB who is coming off his rookie contract.

The LB with 67 speed is worth a 3rd or maybe a late 2nd but Admiral has been around long enough to get the benefit of the doubt.

To get what you want, sometimes you have to give more than you'd like. I wanted Stoops (the RB), hkp wanted Bowens the (CB). I squeezed the pips out of him for Bowens as I was in no hurry to trade him. I wanted to do a deal which included Stoops coming to us in the Bowens deal. Hkp wanted to find a replacement for Stoops.

We're happy, and hey, it might be pre-season but he returned a punt for a TD this week - and they are as rare as hen's teeth or rocking horse sh@£.

We then went to Cleveland to add another playmaker to our secondary. I'd say we'll be there or thereabouts come the post season. :o)

Totally agreed..... if i had accepted the original trade of Stoops and Bowens it would have been simple...

I overpaid for Bowens ..... and you paid back for Stoops

Stoops is rare breed and we holded on to him....but seeing Seth joining Saints we had to make some decision

Lions good luck and as long as he does not return punt against Bucs in the playoff we are all good.... :)

We see you loading up.... so its going to be fun battle in NFC this year ...too many heavy hitters.......
