To be honest, I saw a lot more scrambling my first season playing too, then nothing.

Look at the drop from 2017 to 2018. The drop in scrambles is what contributed to at least 10, probably 20 of the sacks I gave up.

I don't remember seeing a spike since about December 2014.

I also agree that QBs used to scramble back then instead of just head to the sideline and wait for the sack.

+1 to all the spike comments.

Re;Scrambling, I've noticed now that we see QBs do the whole east or west run to the sideline thing and instead of taking the sack near the sideline suddenly take off down field, usually goes for a 1st down as well. Doesn't look right at all.

I have seen very few downfield runs since the pressure code was implemented. Before that, I saw a number of downfield runs that where then counted as "sacks" even though the QB was 2-5 yards down field.

What bothers me the most is if you look at the NFL right now there are multiple QBs running for 500+ yards a season. It's not recommended, but it happens frequently. It just doesn't happen on the game. I would love to see just one of these game QBs with Mike Vick attributes (99 AC, 99 SP, 60 Accuracy, 75 Arm) play like Mike Vick and run for 1000 yards in a season. It would make game planning a whole lot more interesting.

That should be easy enough to do, just add scramble plays in. As far as I know there are none

Also the time out usage. It is fustrating when my team uses a time out after they got like a short yardage completion during the last 2 minutes of the game.

I also think that there should be a wild cat offense.

Put your QB at first string RB in the depth chart. Or better yet sub him in different formations that favor the the run. It's definitely not very real but you could run for a 1000 yards easy.

I already draft QBs with high AC, SP, and ball carry in the late rounds and turn them into QBs. What I want is a QB that can both throw and run successfully. I hate, hate, HATE watching QBs run to the sideline to get sacked.

What I absolutely do not want is a wildcat package.

I certainly agree that the QB running to the sideline and not taking off into the open field when there is nothing but day light in front of him is a much higher priority than the read-option, wildcat, or designed QB runs.
