today I'm checking other part of the game and trying to understand how things work. I landed into the scouting offense. what is (ave. per call) and number of call??. I see some plays have low average per call with a big number of call. why? because if I call a play a lot that increase my average of call that I call that particular play. help with this please thank u

Average yards when the play is called and number of times the play has been called, respectively.

I have a different gameplan question.

I took over a team that I thought the personnel better matched a 3-4 defense instead of what the coaching staff liked. So I changed the head coach and DC to guys that run a 3-4 system. I thought the head coach brought his own playbook.

However, when I go to the gameplan, I still can only find 4-3 defensive plays. We are still in early FA, so maybe this changes at training camp?

I think you have to pick the plays because the head coach will use the plays that the team is more familiar with. So you install the new plays during training camp and let them learn them.

Who's on first?

I understand your dilemma, but it takes a bit of getting used to. It's not one of these games that you can just sit back and see results. Trial and error my friend. Wish I could help more...it's just that it depends on your team and playing to the coaches strengths.

+1

Also remember that if you start trading players and bringing in others this will also affect your gameplan, some plays will suit one player and not another.

Done a lot of searching, couldn't quite find the answer but this thread is closest to what was going to ask than anything else, rather than start something new :)

Scout Defence - "The listed times called and avg. per call are what your opponent has done recently regarding these plays"

So I'm Team A, my opposition are Team B. In this screen, am I scouting the plays that Team B run on defence in games? If so, what do the numbers represent? If a play says 5.0 yards and 100 times, does that mean that Team B has run the play 100 times against their various opponents, and those opposition offences have averaged 5.0 yards a play against it?

I never know which plays to scout on defence. Is it best to go with plays that get called the most and give up LEAST yards? In theory, these would be Team B's best defensive plays, correct? If a play gives up say, 8 yards on average, I probably don't need to scout that play as much as Team B is probably pretty poor at executing it anyway?

Yes.

And I always scout the plays that my team is the least familiar with regardless of how many yards the other team gives up on those plays.
