My guess is this issue is some kinda of rounding issue.

Sorry I'm late to the party. I didn't have the highest bid, but initially I was able to push mine ahead of others by adding a .9 to the base salary each year.

Also how I got Karns in 16.

Clearly, this isn't fair and should be fixed.

It makes me wonder, though: If there is a level playing field and multiple teams offer the same contract, how will the player decide where to sign?

If this happens it's decided randomly.

Perhaps the worst team should get the nod as they are the most needy. I say this knowing it is unlikely my team would be the worst, but it seems the most fair.

I don't get spending so much for a LB free agent when LBs are so under powered in the game. Crowder is a 60 tackle LB. His strongest position could be SS, which would necessitate spending high since SS are actually powered correctly in the game. But until LBs are consistently getting 100 tackles, any Joe Schmo with decent SP and decent tackle can play LB as effectively as a 95+ LB.

Does that go for coverage also? Cause I've seen lots lbs get eaten up in the pass game, and some only give 25./' of passes thrown at em. I have had mixed feelings about how important it is to get top notch backers. And in the run game I can see how people can underrate them but as far as being able to call certain defense against 1-1-3 and feeling confident that your able to stop both run and pass, makes me wonder how 2 or 3 95+ lbs could actually change your whole defense. In this case I wouldent of spent over 10 mil a year on crowder , let alone give him 20. But the damage will be see down the road.

Is the salary cap to high? Seems like a lot of teams have a lot of money

Teams have plenty of money because it's way too easy signing pending FAs to ridiculously low "hometown discounts". The only time these players see Free Agency is inactive owners or AI controlled teams letting them walk.

I mean seriously, that LB NEVER should have been allowed to sniff FA .. That team probably could have gotten him for 6 yrs/$30-40,000,000 vs what he's getting paid now.

Anyways, not my league so none of my business.. lol.

I was being generous.. lol.

I did mean to also acknowledge that I know it's something JDB is working on and will be a welcomed improvement!

I think the 35-40 mil was accurate and it should be as it is.

Trading and drafting to get a good roster takes enough time as is. To implement the changes of re-signing, thus only to have the player walk away or sign for mega-bucks? Save that for RL!

This is a game and that adds to the fun, not having to spend hours and hours rebuilding every season due to FA. That is something that would cause me to walk as I have a life besides MFN.

This is a fun game but there needs to be a time balance. People can add teams if they want to delve more into time, or perhaps FA's leagues, so to speak.

I've played this game for 3 yrs so I have some background here...
