Hello, and happy September!
Football is back! In the MyFootballNow world, we’re inching closer to making the new UI the primary version. Last month brought some great feedback, and I’m excited to share this month’s updates:
- Contract negotiations have been redone to be closer to the legacy UI. They’re back to being a modal dialog, with items rearranged and the expense category bar restored.
- Depth chart information has been restored on player cards.
- Drag-and-drop has returned to the War Room, building on the success of drag-and-drop in the depth chart.
- Fixed the issue where the War Room pick order was incorrect before being scheduled.
- Fixed an issue where, during the offseason, “players under contract” in the depth chart included expired contracts for current free agents.
- Restored “offered contracts” on player cards.
- Fixed player search results so they now sort correctly by your weights (instead of default weights).
- Fixed box score handling on defensive touchdowns.
- Fixed an error that occurred when joining a team.
- Fixed an error on team page tabs for brand-new leagues.
As always, let me know if you run into any other issues. My plan is to make the new UI the default soon—unless there’s a compelling reason to wait. After a month or two of it being the default, I’ll shut down the old UI. That will finally free me up to start working on the game engine again. But first I want to make sure nothing important has been missed in the transition.
I know many of you are eager for new engine development and features - I am too! The old UI is starting to show its age and, in some areas, it’s beginning to fall apart. That means its end of life is coming very soon. This isn’t an excuse, but a reminder of why so much effort is going into the new UI. It’s not just a visual refresh - it’s the foundation for stability, smoother updates, and the ability to add new features going forward.
Thanks so much for your patience and support!
